Yeah. The understanding I have is that, while CFG exists for the dual benefits of Manchester City/the "City" community and the UAE as a marketing tool, the UAE itself is cordoned off as Mansour runs Al Jazira F.C. as his personal project - you could say, his hobby to the CFG day job. As they say - don't mix work and pleasure.

Al Jazira F.C. is another good reason why we have definitely breached AFC rules on multiple ownership, and therefore have no reason not to go all-in now, incidentally. I don't think the best lawyers in the world could argue that a club you own outright and a club you own through a company that is owned by a company that you own outright are not essentially both under your control.

Ah, but neither Sheikh Mansour or Sheikh Hamdan owns Aljazira FC.. It´s not a company at all, It´s owned by its members really.
But like all bigger sports institutions in UAE you´ll find Royals and multibillonaires in the top positions of course so it´s definitely "influenced"

In supporters team news - and flying the flag for all things City in China...

MCFC Shenzhen OSC won a tournament (McCawley's Shenzhen 1st International Football Tournament) beating Hong Kong Spurs on decisive penalties, after wins over Old Boys FC (Celtic fans) and Shenzhen Red Devils (followers of that lot over there that no one cares about. They managed a nil against in keeping with that lot. We buried the ankle chopping dirty RAGs).

Katherine played a brave game in goal for the first game. When Johnson arrived, she opted not to play. We had no subs for any games at any stage! Manchester City FC fans throughout the squad and all pre-date 2008. MUFC's Red Devil fans had won their previous game against Tottenham Hotspurs HK fans and we'd won our game against Old Bys FC. The mini-tiny-very small-tincy-wincy Manchester Derby was a tough game. We rose above their dirty tactics and bagged a win. And a clean sheet. Not bad for only our second ever 8-a-side game together [without any substitutes to hand].
