and so it came to pass..... Manchester United fell
Out of curiosity, I enquired of two High Street Bookmakers.... what price Man City to finish the Premiership unbeaten??

William Hills offered a paltry 25/1

Whilst Corals offered......

9/1, yes 9/1... what a shite bet - they obviously dont want to buy the risk.

The odds are shortening by the day. Soon we will be pretty much odds on to go unbeaten!! CRAZY!

Don't waste your money, the refs will be told to find us a defeat. We have avoided it so far because we are scoring goals for fun, the first tight 0-0 and we'll face a last minute pen.

It won't happen. You need an immense amount of luck to accomplish the feat and you will meet sides along the way that will simply play very well against you. The fact that Arsenal's ''invincibles'' side were the first side to do it in over 100 years (IIRC) says it all really. Liverpool were a fantastic outfit in the seventies and eighties, as were the Don Revie managed Leeds side of the early seventies. And like it or not, the Stretfordians have had some fairly good teams since 1986. You can also go back to the Wolves sides in the 1950s or Arsenal and Huddersfield in the 1930s (both managed by Herbert Chapman). And none of them cold go unbeaten for a full league season. Agreed though; those odds are ridiculously short; Corals are taking the piss with the 9/1.

correct, just look at atwells face as he is sending Komps off, very nearly sneering, arrogant little bastard

Not a hope in hell we'll finish unbeaten. We've got some really tough games coming up, and at some point we'll slip up. However, what we need to do after our first defeat is to go on a run of at least 8-10 unbeaten games with at least 6 of them being wins. That will show the doubters about our Champions quality. They've all got their soundbites ready for our first defeat - just like all the bullshit after the Fulham game.

Another option is choosing the match you think we will next lose (prem)...current fav is liverpool at about 5/2 or how about arsenal away nearly 50/1 or even west brom at home 429/1...only small stakes though!

Yer dead right de niro. Attwell had a decent go t'other weekend and there'll be some dead beat whistler who would want the accolade of reffing the match that saw our unbeated run brought to a close.

this is just paranoia - why does every time think that every ref is against them? Yes Atwell was utterly shit and mnainly one way but that was a one off
