Report in the Independent says that out of 30 matches so far this season, only 6 have been won by the Home team. Teams are comfortable to sit back in the opening period and then counter attack when away from Home. Home teams, need to open the scoring within the first 30 mins, and if they don't then statistically the onus shifts to the away team.
Speed of counter attack being important.
Well done Pellegrini for signing Sterling.
Premier League football this season is all about pace on the counter-attack. Everyone wants to sit deep and play on the break, so they can nullify the opposition’s counter-attackers, frustrate them, and then pick them off.
