Without Yaya we could have competed for the CL last season and we could have gone into January 10 points ahead of Chelsea.
The guy slagged off the club on numerous occasions. He is a prick Mercenary and always will be.

That contributed for sure, but there were many other reasons we didn't win the league.

I tend to think it was because we lost at home to Stoke, & dropped points v QPR & Burnley (twice). There's ten points & the title & two of those games we couldn't score.the reason we lost the league last season was yaya went to AFCON before that we were level on points with chelsea, when yaya was at AFCON we didnt even win one game without him!
Hopefully we will have the firepower this season to fix that, irrespective of whether Yaya, Pogba or anyone else play in cm.

This signing plus Sterling puts us two levels above where we were last season imo. We were totally reliant on Silva, even when he was carrying an injury or shagged out. These two make a vast difference compared to Nasri & Navas, & the absent Jovetic, not just in general play but potentially in goals too.
