Declan Rice

Arsenal have a dilemma now.

Sullivan has not accepted the terms and told both clubs yesterday they want the entire fee paid within 12-18 months!

Eh? West Ham will be desperately hoping someone else comes to the table to give them some leverage, they’ve been clear for months that Rice is going this summer and right now they only have 1 party offering less than desirable terms

There is a 0% chance Rice stays so someone will have to back down

To be fair, it's more that she put the idea forward of Arteta asking Pep for us to bid in order to motivate Arsenal to get it across the line.

That's... actually nothing would surprise me at this point.

Yes, that part of it sounds like someone who's smoking something special.

Edit: she's anything but stupid, actually, guys. She has a first-class law degree, and has been involved in legal negotiations on behalf of footballers. She just must have had an absolute brainfart, or been consuming some substance that she couldn't handle just before going on air.

People need to trust the club especially the scouting network.

Many more opportunities will present themselves from now until August. This doesn’t spell the end of the spending.

The window hasn’t officially opened yet. People need to trust the club especially the scouting network.

We still have Gvardiol left to sign regardless

She was rightly called out mate, it was idiotic of her.

City didn't bid £90m on the off chance it would be rejected and help Arsenal to pay more, to help out his mate Arteta.

It's clearly not a price we want to go to, nor the terms Sullivan is asking for it to be paid.

I'm not arguing she's right, I'm suggesting that the idea we made the bid so Khaldoon could say we don't spend or because we wanted another club to react are just as unlikely as doing it to drive the price up or help Arteta.

Don't take this the wrong way guys, but 24 hours ago people on here were calling Eni Aluko all sorts of insults for saying she thought the City bid was just to pump up the price Arsenal pay.

Now we have people seriously putting up the idea we made the bid either for PR so Khaldoon can say we don't spend, or because we want some completely unrelated player or club to do something.

If someone on talksport came out with these theories there'd be 30 pages on what a stupid twat they are before lunch.

Pretty sure everyone was calling her out for the idea that Arteta has called up Pep and got him to put a bid in to encourage his higher ups to put their hand in their pocket. That we would somehow be trying to help Arsenal in getting a player they wanted. As daft an idea then as it is now.
