trying to stay away from the transfer forum, but I
In my younger days (and still do now actually), I would/do dine out in pubs/restaurants on my own. Whenever I say this to people I work with or my wife and kids, they look at me as if I'm mad and say they'd never do that.

I really enjoy dining out on my own, do any of you lot do this?, or am I a sad old man?.

Sometimes it’s much easier if you want to clear your mind over something to eat and spend some time alone to think.

I like dining on my own given the opportunity. Get a good book, order a bottle of wine, eat and watch the world go by.

Done it a few times when I've been away due to work, or visiting family.

Nicely different.

Ha ! It's actually that no-one speaks to me, especially if I have a City top on....Dipperland this mate !
Last time I went in a boozer in North Wales they were speaking English....soon as they heard my accent they spoke Welsh........cunts

Welcome to much of my work life!

Taking a book to dinner is always a sign of someone on a work trip.
