Donald Trump

No doubt he has breached the gagging orders he has been given , stick him jail for twenty four hours , give him a short sharp shock
He's undoubtedly breached it and pissed of the judge in arguing about it. But he's not going to get much more than a fine. Suspended jail time at best.

The judge should put him on warning though. Crazy he's let him get away with so much already.

Wow, well that gag order hearing did not go well for the defence.

"To clarify, it is your client's position that there is a two-tiered justice system occurring in this courtroom?"
"That is his message, Your Honour."

"You're losing all credibility here, I'll tell you right now."

"This is not passive, he had to sit there, using quotation marks and the shift key."

Lol.

Judgment reserved, we'll find out what he'll do about it soon... but Justice Merchan was apparently visibly irritated. I agree with other commenters, it will likely be maximum fine + ultimatum that anything even approaching infringement will be met with a stint in jail. We'll then see how brave Trump is when that has been made crystal clear.
The tragic irony is that Trump is right, for once: there is a two-tiered justice system on exhibit in the courtroom.

It is the tier that bends over backwards to accommodate and advantage the wealthy and powerful.

Trump’s anger comes from his belief that he is not being accommodated and advantaged enough. And to people used to extreme privilege and deference, reduced privilege and deference is the same as injustice and oppression, even if a fraction of what he has been given would be the equivalent of substantial privilege and deference for almost any other participant in such proceedings.

The judge should impose the maximum fine (I think it’s $3000) for every breach.

Not just because over the course of all the trials it will add up to a significant amount for Trump, but also because it gets on record that he’s doing these things, and it’s an official conviction every time.

So not only will people be able to point to his dozen convictions for contempt in the future, the judge would also be laying the groundwork for himself or any of the other judges to actually send Trump to prison for contempt later.

He'll keep pushing it because everyone always backs down
