Brazilian goal scoring sensation Nilmar has been encouraged by Oasis star Noel Gallagher to snub alleged interest from Manchester United, Tottenham and Aston Villa and join his boyhood heroes Manchester City.
Globoesporte allege the pair met after Gallagher watched Nilmar score against his old club Corinthians, while in Porto Alegre for an Oasis concert.
Impressed at what he saw, Gallagher met with the striker who scored 50 goals in 80 odd games for Corinthians, and urged the 24 year old to move to the City of Manchester Stadium and link up with compatriot Robinho.
The report suggests the youngster, who has 8 caps for Brazil, was not to be outdone by the World famous musician and responded by singing ‘Wonderwall’ to him in English.
Nilmar has been continuously linked with a move to England, despite an unsuccessful spell in Europe with French Champions Lyon. Most recently the striker was a potential target for Real Madrid and Roma.
