is it still best just to get a Preston return if cheap Manchester tickets are gone?

there was something on here before about it being cheaper as Preston was a set maximum fare but Manchester could sky rocket

thinking about the Newcastle and Bournemouth games
and might have a couple of spare season tickets for the West Ham game

From Falkirk.Work with the railway so prices are not a problem.Used to get cheap travel for £6 return until first lost the franchise
There is an early train from Edinburgh, think it is before 6am.Would that be cheaper even though it is a pain in the arse.
