A sense of loyalty kept me watching. Eventually baled out before the end. The safety-first approach, where many sideways passes end with a pass back to the keeper, again and again, is a very hard watch, reminiscent of italian football of the sixties/seventies. It seems to be being adopted throughout football. It creates very few chances, so a deadly striker, ice-cool and tehnically brilliant is essential to change 0-0 into 0-1, and the successful clubs had one. Our squad, which is not tailored to adopt completely the " 1-0 to the arsenal" style will need a bit of choppin' and changin' and the best striker money can buy.
All in my opinion of course, and i have been fed a diet of exciting attacking football the last ten years or so....
We scored 4 goals, and missed several other good chances..
