Anybody got any reccomendations as to what I should buy? Im hooked on the stuff and need to get my fix from somewhere other than mcd's :)

all espresso machines are as good as one another tbh mate, even the cheapo plastic ones

its the coffee that matters, make sure you buy top coffee and you cant go wrong.

taylors of harrogate do a nice couple of blends "hot lava java" & "lazy sunday", both are caramalised beans so little sugar is needed in the brew ;)

I agree, I use Lavazza espresso and some times Ille, they are the best around, the coffee should be very finely ground
 
All expresso machines are not equal.

Anything around 15 PSI is crap.
You need as high a pressure as possible.

For me nothing beats these

keep the coffee refrigerated once its ground
