Taken off daily mail website about road infrastructure. However the map also has on it new schools being built so is not solely related to roads. If you look at the north west it also says Manchester City deal finalized, could this have anything to do with us or is it just relating to city Centre?

Hard to say, we are involved in both schools and traffic as far as planners are involved.

Think the government is offering generic 'City Deals' where councils can negotiate to have greater control over local infrastructure spending and so on - Manchester is the first to apply for this, hence the Manchester City deal reference. Details on the link

just posted in july announcement thread - seen a preview of new tour today and although no models etc i was told that the cabin at the north stand end was being refitted to display the expansion plans for public viewing and that announcement expected very soon. There were also men up on the south stand roof today.

Not sure if our stadium can support a retractable roof..The ones I´ve seen have always been on stadiums designed to have them.

To me, this is the bit where it gets interesting. It's all well and good seeing pics of the ground being levelled and cables and pipes going in etc but to me it's not until you can actually recognise the buildings rising from the ground that you see the true epicness of the project.
