Now that the winner gets a slot in the Champ League, is that at the expense of one of the national slots? Like when Chelsea won the Champ and got Spurs 4th place slot?

I have nightmares of the Rags winning it, us coming 4th and them getting our slot.

They wouldn't get our place if we finish 4th, an extra place is given.

Why so negative, we've just won the Cup ;)

The country that has a team winning the CL or the EL is allowed a 5th place (assuming the winners of the CL or EL have not already qualified automatically).
However, should the same country provide the winners of both the CL and the EL and assuming neither qualify via their own country automatically, then the top 3 will qualify and the 4th place miss out.

Last season Valencia finished 4th and Sevilla won it, both went into the CL, so no.

That gave Spain 5 teams this season, the poster above yourself that scenario is correct otherwise England could have 6 teams in it. The current top 4 Chelsea and spurs scum or dippers.

Nope. One nation can have a maximum of 5 teams in the Champions League. It's a rule. It was changed from 4 to 5 after they decided to give the Europa winner an automatic place.

My point was if Chelsea won champs league dippers won europa league, top 4 was us spurs arsenal Leicester, 6 teams would be in a qualifying position but obviously they would not allow that, so no 4 slot in premier league would miss out.
