Ex-City Players You Have Rose-Tinted Glasses For

Andy Hinchcliffe - great corners and that header! Gutted when he was sold to Everton as it seemed a betrayal of the potential of the 86 lads. Not popular with Blues now - understandably so based upon his punditry.

Always thought Richard Edghill gave his all for the team, was a great but unlucky player and suffered quite unwarranted abuse. Was so pleased that his crucial 1999 penalty went in off the bar instead of bouncing back.
Great shout. I was not confident when he stepped up - absolutely massive balls that day.

Same.

Back when we were shit I remember a few players getting hyped a lot only to never make the team, Vuso the most notable.

And others who just seemed to appear on the team sheet. Barry Conlon?

Was he really divisive at the time, though? I don't remember it like that. As I remember it, the vast majority of fans were made up.
I think it's been a revisionist thing over the years about him costing us the title. I still don't believe that's true.
Might be my memory playing tricks but I thought there were a few blues at the time who were quite critical of him?

Neil Young.First favourite player.
Gerry Gow.Loved him,hard as nails.
Tommy Hutchison.Shame about the og in the final but he got us.
Richard Dunne.Mr reliable.
Joe Hart.Legend shame his time with us was correctly over when it happened.
