I like this idea a lot.

Don’t see why it wouldn’t be possible. It’s a great compromise.

I'm not saying it won't happen but I would thought if he wasn't coming in January it would be just an agreement for the summer.

Not sure how the registration of players works in that case to be honest.
 
Surely it makes more sense bringing in Fred now. He can play in the League - giving Dinho a proper chance to rest his legs. It gives him six months to get accustomed to the league so he's raring to go for next season.

I agree that would be the ideal, but I heard Shaktar were resisting because of their CL participation.

They've drawn Roma so I suppose that's a winnable tie. If they were up against Barca or PSG (or us) I doubt they'd be as determined to keep hold of Fred.

If they get past Roma they could find themselves up against Basel, Tottenham, Porto, Liverpool, Besiktas, Sevilla or United. All winnable ties. And then boom, they're in the semi-finals. So you can see why they want to keep hold of one of their best players.

I think we need him now.
