Is it just me or are we still lacking with scoring from free kicks? We all know Elano can do it, but he hasn't done it in a while and Garrido I think scored our last one.

Is it not time we got someone who can bang them in or Elano (christ even Garrido) improved on their free kicks properly?

How many times could a free kick save us? When I watched Portsmouth v Milan, Ronaldinho done fuck all, brought on late, but that one kick saved them from embarrassment. And what a free kick it was, unsavable. How many times has a player with a world class free kick like Nakamura saved their team? Not saying to buy Nakamura as Strachan only puts him on for those free kicks and he's off to Japan in the summer, but with all our flair its hard to believe we can't be banging them in.
 
in my lifetime we have been poor from all set peices...well poor full stop...but we always lack goals from set pieces...if we could improve that we would win more games!!

I think I've lost count how many of our free kicks last season and this season have hit the post, too! Even when Petrov took them.
 
Was Robhino first goal a free kick against Chelsea? I know Garrido scored a nice goal against Liverpool. It seems whenever Elano plays he is the free kick taker we should mix it up a bit it. When watching Blackburn last few years they scored from set pieces a fair bit and it shocks me that we havn't got more goals from set pieces this season.

oh i suppose he was ok!

tho i wonder if i ever saw him score direct from a free kick??!
