All of us of a certain age will remember Catweazle, the 11th Century wizard transported to the current day, and his descriptions of electricity as "elec-trickery" and telephone as "telling bone".
More like a scarecrow.I still call it electrickery thanks to catweazle.
P.S, I don't remember him being a time travelling wizard, I thought he was supposed to be a tramp.

It first aired in 1970 so nearer 50.In fairness, it must have been at least 40 years ago.
P.S my Dad had a mate back then that looked like catweazle. A Blue that used to drive a convertible MG.
