Giovanni Dos Santos

Makes you wonder how he'd've gone on if we'd have signed him when Sven wanted him.

Being an avid Mexican national team fan, it has always amazed me the lack of playing time he is seeing at spurs. A superb talent in my eyes, really helped carry Mexico in our gold cup win and when we were struggling in qualifying. The game Mex really had to win to solidify their campaign was away at costa rica. Great game by him. Check out the highlights. One goal, 2 assists.

p.s. A little Guillermo franco sighting from West ham in that vid as well.

On the topic of me being a Mexico fan, City first appeared on my radar when you guys signed Nery Castillo. He was an absolute dynamo in Copa America 07, scoring tons of goals and a real beauty against brazil. I didn't have access to watching the premier league back then, so I would just follow on ESPN soccernet and see he never got much play. Anyone have any insight on what happened when he was here? He has really never recaptured the form from 07. Even though Mexican coach Aguirre has tried to give him opportunities. I think he is in Ukraine now.

'Arry dunt like 'im.

Ya, I read some where that the previous coach brought him in and 'Arry doesn't feel the same about him. This is my first year following the premier league, but I can already tell that 'Arry is a twat.

He's at some Ukraine team as Shakhtar loaned him out

Wow i forgot about Castillo. Whenever he played he just got muscled off the ball constantly, never did anything at all when he got some game time.

Don't think he impressed in training either, because he very rarely got given much of a chance.

Castillo dislocated his shoulder early on in his City career, and IIRC, by the time he was back fit and well, Hughes was here and obviously didn't like him.
