It's early days but the recent takeover of Hartlepool looks suspicious. They're currently in the hands of an Essex based recruitment firm called JPNG Global. Linked names at the club like Gary Coxall and Peter Goldberg have a string of company directorships to their names with many of those firms now dissolved.

I hope I'm wrong but I fear their fans are in for a rough ride shortly. They need to organise themselves and get rid of people who have their eyes on the land the ground sits on.

Probably not a good idea...we all know what happened last time they tried that...

I went to Hereford v Hartlepool in the cup one year and some bloke who looked like he'd escaped from the nearest lunatic asylum came on to the Meadow End terrace swinging a hanged toy monkey over the top of his head.

If they've stopped throwing sticks at the moon in Hartlepool then getting the likes of Jeff Stelling on board seems a good idea. They'll be in the fight for their lives if greed takes over. The "owners" will be fronting this deal for the perennial stadium thieves who've had a go at everyone from Chester through to Rushden & Diamonds.

Nah nah nah; you're getting confused with Stoke/Burnley/Trafford/Wigan/Oldham/Leeds/Yorkshire in general/North London/West London/Smoggiebrough etc etc.

They'll certainly want to profit from part of full development of the ground. Nothing else.

The ground sits near some large retail units like an ASDA and across the road from the marina ( I know............ Hartlepool, doesn't sound credible does it? ) so the land has great potential - unlike the club/team in recent seasons. Sad ending coming up I fear - weren't they Hartlepools when they were managed by Clough and Taylor?

Yes, they were.

I'm not sure when the 's' was dropped.

In the late 60's West Hartlepool, the old town of Hartlepool and Hart ( a small village) became one place/district named Hartlepool. Oddly enough, as they had in fact 'united' Hartlepool, they dropped United from their name at the same time as the s from Hartlepools! I think they added United again about 10 years later.

Anything that would piss on that cunts Stellings chips is fine with me im afraid.
