Has anyone put their central heating on yet?

My heating is on from November to March only, and even then if it’s warm enough it’s switched off.

I don’t even close the windows fully in September October and April, always on the latch. In fact I have my bedroom window on the latch at night right through the Winter. If you’re in one room for eight hours or more you should be breathing fresh air. And I’d rather go to bed wearing a jumper and jogging bottoms and have an extra blanket as well as the quilt than have the window shut and heating on.

People closing windows and putting their heating on is why everyone is ill in the Autumn and Winter. Just breathing in closed in and heated air that germs cling onto and spread.
If it’s proper cold or obviously freezing, the heating will be on of course.

I’d love an open fire rather than heating but live in a flat with no chimney so no chance of that.

Heatings on at night here.

I see no nobility in hair shirt living.
