In 1956 we played everton in the FA cup round 6 the crowd was 76,000. Four days later we played Everton in the league and the crowd was 15,000.

Just shows how much the League has become the main focus. I presume that european football along with TV coverage has over the years changed things.

the fa cup has died unless its a small club from the lower league, it does become important for the big clubs but only at the semi stages its been like this for years now shame the way its gone but like everything a lot of it has do do with costs,if we were in it today at home i simply couldnt aford to go as i have £3 to my name untill monday
