I have just got a new laptop and want to get my i-tunes library which i son my old PC onto my new laptop without losing anything as I 20000+ tunes on it

any advice would be appreciated?

PS I am very non-technically minded so keep it simple!!!

Hi

Its simple in theory but as always in IT there is a chance of complications. You can buy an external hard drive from a computer shop currys comet maplins or covert your ipod to an external hard drive and copy it across that way (which makes sense as you have probably splashed out at least £100 for an ipod nano!)

Have a look at the site below i used this when i had to do it.. (are you using Vista, XP or MAC OS Tiger/Leopard?)

What Ipod do you have?

Run that program, choose which iPod you have, then select all your music, right-click, copy, then specify where you want it. Then install iTunes on your laptop and add them in as you did on your old PC. Simple.

there is a program called idump that allows you to put all the songs on your ipod onto your laptop

thanks guys

I'm going to get my son to do it for me using whichever method he thinks he will be best!!!
