FOOT-SUR7 claimed on the June 17th that Ismael could stay in France and move to Nimes Olympique as they could guarantee him gametime in Ligue 2. However, there hasn't been any news on him since. Transfermarkt are wrong claiming he's already ours.

French newspaper L'Equipe report in their Tuesday edition that Manchester City have been gazumped in their efforts to sign Ishmael Bennacer from AC Arles-Avignon. The 17 year old midfielder has been attracting attention from many European clubs, according to L'Equipe, and Manchester City looked to have won the battle for his signature.
After a long Manchester City pursuit, Bennacer is said to have chosen to join the Premier League club and a deal was thought likely to go through. However, L'Equipe reckon Arsenal have swooped in at the end and are all set to get a deal done for the player, with the player now choosing them instead.
Arsenal will put Bennacer on a five year contract and whilst it doesn't say a contract has been signed or medical passed, L'Equipe believe that Arsenal have won the day and Bennacer is set to move there this summer.
