Jesús Navas is now a Manchester City player. It is not yet official, but in a matter of hours both teams will confirm the news because the deal has already been sealed, as announced by Radio MARCA Sevilla.

Sevilla has closed the deal for a fee of €20 million to pay immediately plus 5,5 in bonuses, 3,5 of which are fixed and will not depend on titles or achievements.

The player will earn €2.5 million net for each of the five seasons which he will play for the English club.

The cash injection will have a bearing on the future of Álvaro Negredo. His exit was almost a sure thing, but now a flush José María del Nido believes he can retain the Madrid-born striker, who scored 25 league goals and a total of 31 for the season, including his six Copa del Rey strikes.

I thought he was getting around £115,000 a week net?

Because he will earn you more through shirt sales and sponsors etc than anybody else in the club

£80k pw is cheap for City standards. Perhaps the days of the club paying stupid money as compared to other clubs is now over
