Sad to hear the Stranglers drummer has passed - but at 82 maybe those that know his work will feel a little bit older. Great band, gave me a lot of good times.

The original four piece was a truly fabulous band. All good things come to an end.
Thank heavens we still have all that incredible music. RIP.

I recall back in the late 70's that he was way older than your average band member at the time.
Saw them the once on the Men In Black tour - fantastic foursome they were

They were my first favourite band as a kid in the late 70's,saw them a few times at the apollo.

Jet was already in his 30's when The Stranglers first tasted success having proved himself a shrewd businessman with an off-licence and fleet of ice-cream vans (one of which was used for the band's first tour). You really couldn't make it up. Ah well, another part of my youth has died. Glad I'm able to say I saw him play. He'll be sadly missed.

Likewise, bands move on but the original 4 piece will never be surpassed. I do like the current version but have great memories of the originals. Fly straight Jet.
