Kaspersky 2009 anti virus

I have just installed the new Kasp anti virus.Ever since my computer has run really slow,the previous version (2008) was excellent and never caused any problems.Anyone got any ideas cos its doing my swede in!

Uninistall it, does it fix the problem ?

If it does, download CCleaner with it uninstalled, it will remove any old dead links from 2008 version in registry. If it slows down again when you reinstall, it must be some real time scan file options, i have never used it but if it still bothers you could test it.
