Honestly couldn't imagine watching a better player than Messi

I don't think you could truthfully say there ever has been although people will have their opinions and different choices for best of all time. At the same time Messi probably wouldn't have lasted long playing in the eras that Pele, Cruyff, Maradona etc played in where tackles from behind etc were perfectly legal and the pitches were shite, every left back/centre half going would have been trying to take him out of the game as early as possible.
