as for a laptop I'd go for a Lenovo thinkpad. those things are like tanks and you should be able to pick one up for £500
Just been given one in my new job, jeez they're ugly and weigh a ton.as for a laptop I'd go for a Lenovo thinkpad. those things are like tanks and you should be able to pick one up for £500
HP software is awful, though. Either go through all the bloatware and turn it all off, or do a clean install before you start using it.Yes that would work. The Pavilion line has positive reviews for several years.

I have a Lenovo thinkpad from work, what a load of rubbish it is, usb ports broken keeps going bluescreen and weighs a ton. Keyboard feels solid though.as for a laptop I'd go for a Lenovo thinkpad. those things are like tanks and you should be able to pick one up for £500
Funnily enough in the market for something similar. My mate recommended this: (spec wise, excellent with i5 and SSD).

However I'm toying with a cheaper i3 with touchscreen etc. I really want Windows Hello but I'm too poor atm,
