Brother had the same problem,and others.
If you have got a PS3 or sat nav with there bluetooth on that could be it!

what kind of laptop is it mac? i had the same kind of thing with mine, i had to use the recovery disk that came with it, mines a toshiba,

It's an E Systems apparently (cheap and nasty). Son reckons it just needs a Windows Boot disk. I'll probably get one off someone at work. The laptop has been dying for some time and I got a new one off AOL.
Got to admit that PC rage was a new experience. It used to drive me mad ;-)
