I don't apologize for highlighting this now, I don't think it is crass just opportune timing.
I have often posted on the various missing person threads about the work of volunteer search teams. They give up their time (and money) to train and search in all weathers all year. If you have any family members with dementia, mental health problems or young children who could get lost then a volunteer search team will like be called to help search.
There is not team in Manchester but for those living in Cheshire here is the link.

You will get wet and muddy,no pay or expenses, no hero status and most times little acknowledgement.
But you could save somebodies life.
