#mcfc considering Spanish scouting revamp. Levante sporting dir Manolo Salvador wanted by Txiki Begiristain

Translated:

The Levante UD has its future in the air because it fails to break away from the relegation to second. That, in terms of power walking team and in the offices, still in the air what will happen to Manolo Salvador after the athletic director left open the door to his departure at the end of the season. One possibility is still very doable today. There are clubs and earrings Faura people and one that has a good concept about it is Txiki Begiristain.

The current director of football at Manchester City has always followed closely the work of Manolo Salvador as head of planning at Levante UD. Even Faura Gipuzkoa and maintain good personal relationship and already known for many years. In 2004, Manolo achieved despite a good number of suitors, the Barcelona yield to Sergio Garcia at granota set when Olaberría was culé athletic director. Manolo would like to try a new experience, even if not as head of sports parcel, and English football is one of the markets is more work lately. Anyway, the future of Txiki is not only linked to the City but has ability to integrate some of the candidates in the elections of FC Barcelona.

But Manolo Salvador has made many relationships in his long stage, first as a member of the body of scouts from Levante, then as technical secretary and finally as athletic director. Not far from Valencia, in Vila-real, is also well seen and Greek football is another favorite markets. In fact, according to the 'Blaugranotas' program Olympiacos could be mulling possible athletic director position after the failed bid to Cristian Karembeau.

Whats the difference between Sporting Director and Director of Football?

Both the same I think, just different names.

Looks like Txiki wants almost two of him to help with transfers and other footballing duties.

A huge Spanish group running the club looks to be the future with Soriano, Txiki, Rodolfo Borrell and now potentially Manolo Salvador.

It looks like gone are the days in English football where it was just the chairman and the manager, now the more continental organisation setup is taking shape in the country, especially at City.

The scouting network could do with freshening up.
Yeah, we should revert to the scouts we had pre 2012..... Now they knew how to pick out a player or two. :-)

Rigg and Hughes those were the days :).

Hughes and co got Vinny and Zabaleta spot on but they also wasted a lot.

Mancini had an open chequebook in a pre FFP era, to be fair to Robbie though one of the reasons he got the City job was because he proved he could be a good team builder in Italy.

One day he will go on and become a very good DOF in my opinion.

He wants him to head up our Spanish and presumably Portuguese scouting departments as part of CFG.

And Rodolfo Borrell doesn't even work for City either, so you can stop that crap straight away
