Liverpool Thread - 2023/24

I'm not sure that this will galvanise the team as there will be players whofeel they don't get enough game time, or will consider leaving as well.

I'm not sure that's good news regarding this season: it's likely to mobilise Liverpool and make it a bit harder for us.

Klopp realises something Liverpool fans don't want to think about: VVD and Salah are likely to decline soon, replacing them is almost impossible. Liverpool have good players and will compete for top 4 without them, but they will be less consistent over a whole season.

That will likely be why he has announced it now. And it will work too. As long as the momentum is with them. If the pressure starts to build though, all it will take for it all to collapse is a bit of a wobble, and then all that energy put into it bursts pretty quickly.

Good luck for his next journey and he did a pretty good job with that team. Hopefully next manager will do a much worse job.

Klopp had undoubtedly been a great coach for Liverpool, but unfortunately for him and his club, he served at a time when Pep was the coach at City…and Pep has outclassed him. There is no shame in that, because Pep is the best total football coach in the world.

Sadly, for the rest of the League, we are now going to be on the long march to May with every media outlet fawning over Klopp, Liverpool, and the fairy tale finish that could cement, and even enhance, his legacy with Liverpool. That doesn’t bode well for the rest of the League, especially City.

The backdrop now will become “115 charges City” versus “what might have been” for Klopp and Liverpool had they been operating on a level playing field with the (alleged, but “verified” by Ceferin) cheats from the Etihad!

Oh, how tiresome it will quickly become…

And just like Kloppwork it's already started. Lol!

Another groundhog day at a football tabloid paper.
