Liverpool Thread - 2023/24

His ego fed by the grief junkies is off the chain both him, them and the media want him to be put in greatest of all time conversation when the reality he is nothing more than a reasonably successful big spending manager like a few others, he has never been innovative, never changed the way football has been played and only got over the line when either handed piss easy draws or a break in the middle of the season, those are the facts, quite simply if he had been at any major club he would have been out on his ear for the trophies won compared to the money spent, he knows that, they know that and even the press know what but as is usual for the grief hungry, always the victim cunts never let the truth get in the way of the scouse narrative.
Let's not try to rewrite history here - they were running away with the league when Covid hit and would've won it at a canter regardless. They were deserved winners that season, although we were in a bit of a transition with Kompany leaving and not replacing him until the following campaign which seemed to impact us somewhat so it's possible if we'd signed Dias 12 months earlier we might've ran them closer.

However, I do agree with most of the rest of your post. For all the plaudits he's getting, his trophy haul at Liverpool is on the low side. And that's not all down to Pep either. Klopp had a free hit in the 2015/16 season when he arrived in October 2015 but they finished 8th, lost to us in the League Cup Final even though we were clearly regressing by then under Pellegrini, and lost to Sevilla in the Europa League Final. Also the following season - Pep's first - we didn't win anything so we can't be blamed for blocking their path to any trophies that season. That's 7 trophies over his first 2 seasons (they didn't qualify for Europe in 2016/17) that were up for grabs before Pep started winning trophies with us and Klopp didn't win a single one of them.

Theyve been running away with it a couple of times and blown leads so theres nothing to suggest they wouldnt have done so again but i get what you're saying

playing with emotion will only take u so far, they will keep up the ridiculous level of fervour but in reality it wont help the players long term, sometimes you have to take emotion out of it or it can affect you negatively and the reality is when that happens klopp has nothing, he doesnt know how to change things and he has never had a plan b, they will burn out same as usual, its telling that they only time they have got over the line in a league season is when there was a massive break in the middle

Can't argue with any of that mate.

I had a chat with a dipper today & I said strange timing when you consider everyone is saying City will be relegated. You’d think he’d relish a clear run without Pep & City to face…….

Curiouser & curiouser….
