Local teams in the FA Cup 3rd Preliminary round this weekend

The 1st round proper was today - on the whole a mixed day for local non league fans with 6 defeats, 4 wins and 1 draw. (Ashton Athletic - from Ashton in Makerfield - v Mossley and Trafford v Cheadle having both a team that won and lost ha ha)
Sad to see Maine Road knocked out.

Ashton Athletic 7 Mossley 2
Ashton United 0 Nantwich 3
Burscough 4 Maine Road 2
Hyde United 1 Colne 0
Radcliffe Borough 3 Spennymoor 5
Trafford 5 Cheadle Town 2
Whitby 3 Winsford 3
Witton Albion 3 Buxton 0
Workington Town 3 Warrington 0

Quick correction here mate, Maine road finished 4-3. Late penalty. It was a decent game really but some very poor defending let us down today. Good number travelled too. Must have been 40/50 following road yesterday.

Some tasty games this weekend including Stockport v Hyde United.
Should be a decent crowd.

Witton at home to Stalybridge and Ossett ast home to the Moston Red Socks. Their season (and chance of earning a bit of money) ends tomorrow with defeat.

Alty v Gainsborough
Ashton Athletic v Halifax
Bradford PA v FC Class of 92

We're the barmy alty army lalalalala

Edict: we're all mad, we're insane, the alty boys are here again.

3rd qualifying round

Altrincham 3 Morpeth 0
Curzon Ashton 4 Bedworth United 0
FC Scumbags of Moston 3 Harrogate 3
Halesowen 1 Nantwich Town 1
Halifax 2 Stalybridge 1
Spennymoor 1 Chorley 0
Stockport County 2 FC Crass of 92 0

Oh dear! That might well have just fucked up the Biased Broadcasting Cnuts of Media United, Salford. They're gonna have to find another team! Perhaps the Scumbags of Broadhurst might win the replay!!

went to watch Altrincham v Morpeth Saturday.1st visit to Moss Lane for 2 seasons.
£10 in but standard of football was pretty poor maybe as they have dropped out of the conference its harder to attract the better non league players
A great header from Reeves for the first goal.
Highlight of the day was a pint of Wainwright for £2.80
Crowd around 700 which is lower than I remember them getting.

Harrogate 2 Moston Rag Socks 0

So draw for the last qualifying round:

York City v Curzon Ashton
Altrincham v Matlock or Workington
Stockport v Bishop Aukland
North Ferriby v Macclesfield
Halesowen / Nantwich v Stourbridge

At least the BBC can't wank themselves silly over Butt's Boys and The FC Splitters - so maybe a long established club such as Curzon or Alty can get a decent pay day this season should they progress further.
