Has to be David for me. Fernandinho was excellent but United didn't test us hugely, yes he negated them but even so I have to give David my vote. Dominated the game. Such guile and class. Never rushed, never flustered and got the crucial first goal as well as dictating the play for the third through calmly keeping the ball moving.

Fernandinho owned the midfield. Not only that but he also delivered some lovely through balls and should have scored. He stood out for me.

Went for Fern, but desperately close between him and Merlin. Since Fern and Merlin stopped roaming the globe playing useless friendlies, their energy levels and quality of football has been first class.
