Canal Street Blues are teaming up with Gay Football Supporters Network ( GFSN), Village Manchester Football Club (VMFC), Just a ball game?, Football V Homophobia to have the largest ever LGTB MCFC presence at Manchester Pride this year.

Here's what we have got planned

Thursday 21st August
'It's A Gay Knockout'
9pm outside Taurus bar, Canal Street
This is a fun community event loved by the Canal Street regulars the big kick off to Manchester Pride. We'll have a joint team with GFSN. Email press@gfsn.org.uk to join the team!

Friday 22nd August
Pride Cup
7pm, venue TBC
Village Manchester FC will be playing a friendly against Mersey Marauders FC and then heading into Pride. Spectators are very welcome and you can come and join us for a drink afterwards.

Saturday 23rd August - Monday 25th August
Pride Expo Stall
10am-6pm, Pride Expo, Bloom Street
We will have a large stall in conjunction with GFSN, positioned next to Village Manchester FC.
The stall costs are kindly being sponsored by Manchester City FC.
We hope to have competitions, a penalty shoot-out, and also appearances by MCFC Women's players.
We REALLY need your help in operating the stall over the weekend, if you can spare an hour or two please email press@gfsn.org.uk - don't worry we'll pair you up with an experienced Manc Pride/GFSN veteran during your stint!

Saturday 23rd August
Pride Parade
12 noon, Liverpool Road (at the fort walking groups meeting area)
We'll be walking through Manchester together with all the other football groups in celebration of #LoveLGBTFootball.
You are very welcome to join us in the Parade but Pride prefer people to be there at the start rather than jumping in en route.
Please come along and wear your MCFC shirt with pride .
We'll also be inviting all the UK's LGB&T football teams and FanGroups to join us in the parade.

Sunday 24th August
Manchester City Women v Arsenal Ladies
2pm, Manchester Regional Arena (next to the Etihad)

Monday 25th August

Manchester City (Men) v Liverpool
8pm, Etihad Stadium
Canal Street Blues and LFC LGBT members will be attending this game.
Those with out tickets we be arranging a meet to watch it in a pub (outside the Pride cordon) .

Canal Street Blues intend this to be the first home game where their official supporter's banner is displayed at the stadium.

Manchester Pride 2014 Plans - Update

Pride-Moonbeam-Moonchester.jpg

Hello all.

Plans pretty much finalised and in place for this weekend's events, and I can now reveal that Manchester City
have agreed to support Pride, and will send Moonchester and Moonbeam along to lead Canal Street Blues in
the parade on Saturday 23 August from 1pm!

All details can now be found on the (finally) updated website of the supporters' club:

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.canalstreetblues.co.uk/pride" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.canalstreetblues.co.uk/pride</a>

Pop down to watch somewhere on the parade route, and there's a good chance that you and/or your family
may get to shake hands or have a photo taken with our cheeky mascots.

Should be plenty of blues turning up in the parade, and we're joining with other football supporters from
around the UK and other football teams to hopefully make this the world's largest football gathering at any
pride event.

Cheers all - let's hope for sun :)
