Please geel free to move this if it is in the wrong forum, but has anyone any idea how you go about getting your kids as mascots? My son's 6th birthday 2 days before Everton at home and thought it would be amazing for him, though don't know if there is a system you need to go through or even if it is just for Junior blues or through charity/youth groups

Any advice would be appreciated

They have to join that City Kicks thing I think (formerly Junior Blues)
Or they might of gone back to the old name? lol

Register him here, bottom right is a link that allows you to Be a mascot for Hull.
I'm presuming eventually the Everton fixture will appear.

I've been trying for my daughter since she was six and started coming to games with me. She's now ten and we've been entering 'competitions' on City Kicks and now Junior Cityzens ever since!! I said to her the other day that she'll be taller than a lot of the players if she ever eventually wins one of these comps. I've sent email requests and all sorts of comments in the surveys etc they regularly send out and nothing :(

My lad was mascot a few years ago against Wigan at home. It's changed recently because of the new Citizens thing but all you had to do was enter his/her details on the junior blues website (as was) to stand a chance of being mascot. They also ran comps for player escorts where obviously 11 or more were chosen but it's not the same experience as being the mascot where they get a kit, which is signed by all the players as they arrive at the main entrance. They have a tour beforehand of the changing rooms etc., get fed in the players lounge and then wait in the tunnel for the team and head out on the pitch. It's a great day. We were given 4 tickets also. Only one of the accompanying parents can go above the tunnel and video the pitch bit. You also get some official photo's of the day taken by the club photographer.
Keep trying, it's worth it.

Mascots have it easy these days. I remember when we used to make them do a couple of laps of the pitch before the teams kicked off. Kids these days wouldn't manage to make it all the way round !

Contact Liz Douglas,

Better off applying for a Champs League game as they need 22
My lad did it for Bayern Munich home when we won a couple of seasons ago, got to walk out with David Silva. Hi fived mario in the tunnel (All of TV)
