Waiting at the far post for that cross from David
Does anyone buy into the theory that Mancini played all the snipers (Bridge, SWP, Given and probably Lescott) last night and risk defeat so he could finally shut these guys up once and for all for not performing and therefore have less influence on the dressing room for the big important matches coming up?? The only people they can blame is themselves for not performing not the manager so will be keeping quiet from now on....

Well 3 of them played ok and yes the other one was shocking. It's his own signings that he needs to perform and help lift the pressure off him.Milner and Toure should have been two players that gave us some drive in midfield that had been lacking but so far have been very average at best.Obviously Silva is a class act although one slight worrry is how to get the best out of him without having to set the team out so it's completely down to him to create everything.Hopefully in a month or two the other 3 will start to get some match fitness and settle in.

If he did do that as you suggest he is a complete idiot.

He keeps referring to the fact that we play every 3 days and it's not possible to play the same team bla bla.Whilst true to a point I believe he overplays it. Last night before the match he even said we played 3 days a go to reinforce his point.

We didn't as it was 5 days a go and to keep going on about it I see as a very defensive negative state of mind. The result is that he keeps changing the team around making it harder to create the sort of playing relationships a winning team needs and lo and behold we are now losing games and losing confidence.

Bit of a mess at the mo, but something that a handbrush and one of those little plastic shovels can sort out.

I think the main problem over the last few games is that far too many of the eleven on the pitch are not having good games. Simple things - control, properly weighted, radar processed passes, tackling (has Nige's unfortunate incident reined in too many full-on tackles?), heading, and the aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh, tracking back and providing initial cover to an inexplicably flaky back four. They are the things that managers and fans take for granted. More effective passing and tackling last night would have gone a long way towards coming back with a point in the kitty. Mancini can't MAKE players tackle or redirect a bad pass.

The headshaking thing about last night is that the MatchDayCentre showed Poznan having just three shots on target. I think we had nine!
