thanks a lot. she's doing a mphil/phd in criminology , her dissertation is focusing on alternative sentencing for mothers/women in general, as an overwhelming percentage that are in prison are for non violent crime, but still splits families up. Also saying that if the UK continues following the way they incarcerate mothers and separate families in the states it will create similar problems that exist there.
