I guess this means we won't be signing any keepers. I'm fine with this, as long as he is happy to be number 3.

"Stuart Taylor has signed a new two-year contract with Manchester City.
The goalkeeper, who made one senior appearance for the Blues last season, put pen to paper on his new deal following the expiry of his initial 12-month contract.

The 29-year-old has fully recovered from the knee injury that prevented him from stepping in when Shay Given dislocated a shoulder late last season."

Why? When we were without Shay and Joe, Taylor was deemed not good enough for us to rely on and so Fulop came in. Pretty damning I'd have thought.

I think this re-signing is a direct consequence of the new PL/UEFA squad regs - David Gonzales looks really good but will lose out now

They also took down the old story which was at <a class="postlink" href="http://www.mcfc.co.uk/News/Team-news/2010/July/Stuart-Taylor-leaves-Manchester-City" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.mcfc.co.uk/News/Team-news/20 ... ester-City</a>

'Manchester City can confirm that Stuart Taylor has not had his contract renewed and has left the club.'

'The goalkeeper arrived at City last summer and understudied Shay Given for most of the season, making one first team appearance against Scunthorpe United in the FA Cup last January.'

'Unluckily for Stuart, a knee injury towards the end of the season prevented him from replacing Shay Given in the side after the Irishman dislocated a shoulder against Arsenal.'

'We thank Stuart for his services, and wish him the very best of luck for the future.'

Thought he'd just had an operation, thats why the FA allowed the Fulop deal.

He is the worst goalkeeper I have ever seen, he was terrible in the reserve matches.
