Good news ?

Williams, who spent 13 years at Blackburn Rovers as chief executive and chairman, and most recently worked in the football department at Manchester City, will be confirmed as the new chairman of Professional Game Match Officials Limited this week. Telegraph Sport understands that his appointment will be approved at a board meeting of PGMO on Friday.

As long as he tells old mother rag lover Riley to do one.

Seems Riley is still in charge of appointing refs for games so nothing will change in that respect ie Webb etc gets the tough games for Utd to help them along.

Williams, 63, will replace former Football Association board member and Colchester United chairman Peter Heard, who is stepping down after 11 years

"Football Department"....WTF!

Do we have an Intercontinental Ballistic Missile Testing department as well?
