Right just to clear up any misconceptions about fucking istree.
The club named in the topic has the longest history.
There's no such thing as big history, as this is a concept of past and time not fucking size.

Sorry , but the spuds ,arse and scouse that keep harping on about it do my head in.

Anyway we have the future, they can keep their past.

The Football Association and FIFA, the English and international governing bodies of association football, both officially recognise ************ to be the world's oldest association football club.
And it ain't Notts County, though they were the first of the current 92 league clubs to be formed.
Any guesses?

Sheffield FC.

On Talkshite at the weekend Neil Warnock said Sheffield was the oldest ever football club (not United or Wednesday)

Two clubs with a long and deep history are Leighton Orient and Stoke City and neither has ever won a major trophy

Chesterfield is the 4th oldest league club too and they haven't won a major trophy either. Only Notts County, Nottingham Forest and Stoke are older.

-- Wed Sep 04, 2013 11:31 am --

They currently play in the Northern Premier League Division 1 South.
