NYCFC hire Jason Kreis as coach.

Kreis is about as good as they could get. The best coach in the US or Canada right now is Caleb Porter and not just in the pros but in college as well. And there is no way he is leaving Portland right now except if the national team job opens up.

For those interested in seeing how the draft system in US-based sports leagues works, even though NYCFC is not participating yet, MLS holds the first 2 rounds of its Super Draft today (starting in just a few minutes) you may be interested in following along:

The 3rd and 4th rounds will take place next Tuesday.

While one has not yet been announced with Orlando joining NYCFC in 2015, in all likelihood an expansion draft will be held at some point in the next year, whereby the other 19 clubs will be required to leave a number of players unprotected and NY and Orlando will rotate selecting players from that pool to help begin building a roster.

I would imagine both clubs will participate in the 2015 Super Draft.
