The Cabaret Club - sure the bouncers in there used to take bets how many innocent bystanders they could flatten trying to get to fights
Club 57 - Some decent live bands on now & then. Also the Aerospace apprentice do's there were always good fun & guaranteed to kick off.

PSV in Hulme

i had a squat in hulme for a fair few years in the eighties.
spent plenty of nights in the psv, mostly upstairs.
absolutely fucken amazing place.
there's very little footage knocking about.


namedrop alert: i wandered over to the psv from "the spinners" pub with nico on a few occasions.

Scruples and Dreamers were two separate clubs. Scruples was up Yorkshire street near the Coliseum and Dreamers was down the bottom of Yorkshire Street near Mumps
different scruples mate....the one I meant was on Albion Street in town...I never went to Oldham when I was younger. Didn't know it existed....

yeah, she lived in hulme for years.
you'd sometimes see her in pubs or shebeens but she kept herself to herself most of the time.
