I don't know what fellow bluemooners think but should there be a cut off age for people dancing in public?
I havnt danced at a function since I saw Peter Kaye going on about people dancing at weddings when I realised I could be one of those people he was describing. Today I went to a mate of mines birthday party (58th) and there was a live band in the pub, as usual after a lot of drink some of the people there got up and started dancing. One of the younger people there looked at me and said there should be a cut off at 35 when people shouldn't be allowed in public to dance. I looked around and realised what she was saying was bang on, it was like a car crash. you were probably cool dancing in your twenties at the Wigan Casino or the Twisted Wheel but now your in your fifties or even sixties just don't do it.

You know the rules.

If you had fun at the time, who cares? Half the fun of dancing is making a fool of yourself.

Feel free to upload the video though. No one will laugh, I promise

-- Sun Nov 17, 2013 11:18 pm --

Ducado?

Completely agree. I'm 22 and dance like an idiot every time I'm on the dance floor. Most people would look at me and my mates and think 'wtf are these ***** doing?' Couldn't care less though. I guarantee we are laughing at ourselves more than anyone else is. On Saturday night we were at a trendy bar and happened to start a conga line with a dozen asian birds. Good laugh!

Good news for those of us that danced like spastics in our 20's - once you get to 40 everyone is shit and embarrassing, so in relative terms you have actually got better.

Old people should be forced to dance, along with everybody else. It gets one in the moment.
