On This Day 6th May 2019:"No Vinny,Don't Shoot"

I was probably one of just a handful who were shouting, ‘Shoot, Vinnie, shoot’ and when he did I just went … ‘oh my goodness he did shoot!!’ :-)

My wife said to me he's going to shoot. I said don't be daft. I should know better than to disagree with her.
Next moment we are jumping up and down hugging those round us. What a night.

Oh, I dunno. I was lucky enough to be at the Villa game. When that third goal went in, the place went mental. Even in the sedate surroundings of level 2 in the family stand, where I was sat.

the atmosphere during those come back goals was unbelievable.

I could watch that goal 20 times a day without getting bored.

I was about to post that I will never tire of watching that goal.

As has already been said, it was an iconic moment in our history. And, as important as it was, it probably isn’t Vinnie's most vital.

That accolade goes to the one against the rags seven years earlier.

And, as others have said, it’s yet another moment that I won’t forget.
