Committed this crime at lime square in Openshaw last November, ignored the first letter then replied to them by email stating we exceeded the 3 hours there due to a puncture which I went to repair as my wife was with this car, only exceeded the time by 17 mins to which they said they need proof of a garage repair, so probably going to ignore this final reminder and wondering if anyone has had any dealings with a similar charge notice...cheers

They can't put you in nick for a parking fine they pass it on to a debt collecting agency if you don't pay it they will come round a few times if they can't locate you they just send it back to the council they have no authority to put your door in etc but can come in if your door/ windows are open I had one for going down a bus lane ignored it not heared fuck all since that was 18 months agoThere was someone who was in a similar position to yourself and kept ignoring the letters, he could help you.

Move abroad. Worked for me. Picked up a parking ticket in the morning, got the ferry later that day, returned 7 years later and still not heard anything. Simple.
