Seen a few United and Liverpool (predictably) on Twitter claim that Pep hasn't influenced Southgate's England which I find absurd.

He has influenced football across the board, lots of teams are trying to play out from the back now and keep possession a little better.

I know Southgate is doing a good job with England but he's basically trying to adopt the same approach as Pep at City.

That's only cause we don't have a Fellaini - just you wait a few more transfer windows once Pep has had his clear out.

Total football has been around for a while obviously, Pep has resurrected it to a degree and brought it to the modern game. He’s proved it works and has, in some ways, enhanced it with his own influences,Think Bielsa. He’s an expert in the style and most importantly been very successful. It’s only natural that others have been influenced, Sarri, Low, Tuchel, Klopp etc.
