Nigerian basketball team was all Americans born in America im guessing to Nigerian families but if they had the choice you know they would of been playing for USA

Thats really the same with the 1990 and 94 Republic of Ireland WC squads, where the majority of players were British born and bred.

Is it cheating to have athletes in the GB Olympic squad that were born outside the UK?

To have ringers in the team is wrong IMO BUT every other fucker does it so we may as well to.

We have two extremes when it comes to "plastics".

Bradley Wiggins was actually born in Belgium and wrestler Olga Butkevych, who was born in Ukraine but received her UK passport only a couple of months ago.

Wiggins was only born in Belgium because his (Australian) father was a pro-cyclist based there at the time. He was brought up in London from a very early age and is a English as a cup of tea.

So when is someone English and what is the cut off?

The cut off point is if they win or not, i.e. Lennox Lewis was a Canadian contender but a British Champion.
