Considering he played no pre-season games, I though he was brilliant tonight.
Constantly breaking up their attacks.

Few silly fouls in the second half but I'll forgive him that considering he has to do the defensive duties of 2 players.

Couple of silly tackles which I'm putting down to rustiness but a quality player no doubt.

Love him but was wishing he'd be substituted about 60 mins on. Was expecting a red to come.

Generally played well but seemed to have 15mins of madness where he looked on a mission to get yellow/red card - like I said, played well though

Saved us today with lack of options. No pre season but puts in a very good 90 minutes. Well done!

Brilliant tonight what a workhorse he was out there to play the full game and he was smashing. I am thinking a fully fit Fernandhino will be great to see this season. I hope the battle for places pushes everyone to the limit. Him and Yaya were great together. I think in some of the harder games him and Yaya defensively wont work but I think a Delph or Fernando will work in there.
